You Me Sushi opens in Greenwich town centre
In recent weeks you may have noticed temporary signage on a shop unit in Greenwich town centre near the market entrance.
Plans are now in for the external appearance branch of You Me Sushi now open at 26 Greenwich Church Street.
Greenwich is their 19th branch and first in south east London. It has a small number of seats inside but predominantly catering for takeaways and delivery orders.
It’s open pretty late, with closing time being 10pm Monday to Wednesday, 10:30pm on Thursday and 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
Hope they fare better than the sushi bar opened in Trafalgar Road a while back, they’ve changed to Roxyburger, so obv not enough demand for sushi, or oversupply of outlets. Roxyburger are an overpriced burger chain, tried opening riverside too but half of premises taken over by alternatives. Greenwich destined for only chains sadly, any attempt to bring quality food prevented by planning, like the Japanese restaurant attempt by Greenwich Theatre. Shame we don’t have a community to prevent this like they have in Totnes Devon, where they don’t even allow chain coffee houses and have some great indies.
There was supposed to be a Nanban branch opening in Greewnich. I read about it on this blog over a year ago, but it never arrived…
That was a shame. Didn’t help local cllr fought against it.
