Thamesmead sinkhole disrupts buses

A sinkhole in Thamesmead has seen a number of bus routes disrupted after Crossway was closed.

TfL state a number of buses are on diversion with disruption expected until 7pm on Monday th15 May. Routes involved are 177, 229, 401, school buses 601 602 669 and night bus N1.

Stops from Manordene Road to Thamesmead Town Centre and from and from Thamesmead Town Centre to Eastgate Close are closed.

Thames Water are working on the issue caused by a raptured pipe.
