Woolwich bakery forced to close after cannabis haul

A bakery on Parry Place in Woolwich has been closed after being raided by police.

Greenwich Council state that “four people have been arrested and over 100 bags of cannabis seized following a raid of Dvine Cakes and Food in Woolwich.”

The unit has been closed for three months after a court order was given.

£2,500 of cannabis was found on site with the business a front as there was “no evidence of food or preparation areas, and the drinks found in the fridge were out of date.”

A missed opportunity, as surely a nice cake with a bag of weed would have proved popular.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • This street is a real epicenter of dealing in woolwich, in a few years I wonder if the people getting sold flats on this site will know what the area was known for..
