Direct daily coaches from Greenwich to Amsterdam now running

Here’s something I’ve only just discovered but direct coaches are now running from Greenwich to Amsterdam on certain days throughout the week.

This could have been happening for some time but news to me. Flixbus are operating a service which leaves around midnight from Millennium Way in north Greenwich (and Stratford beforehand) with tonight’s route calling at Antwerp, Utrecht and then Amsterdam.

It leaves at 00:20 from North Greenwich bus station before crossing to France and  stopping in Belgium at 9:25am.

It arrives in Amsterdam at bang on midday.

Next Thursday’s is quicker and avoids Antwerp. Times vary slightly each night.

Fares seem around £30 if booked far enough in advance, and avoiding the schlep to Victoria is always welcome.

Great stuff!

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Thanks for sharing this. It does seem enticing indeed. Strange that it doesn’t stop in France.

  • Probably it is because there are no major cities on the route

  • Thanks for that info. I might give this a go…

  • Thanks for sharing this. I’ve always wondered what other destinations I can reach by coach within the area – I can never be bothered to go to Victoria.
