Greenwich pub expansion plan recommended for approval

Plans to extend a pub in Greenwich are set to be decided next week with recommendation for approval.

Hardy’s on Trafalgar Road would see changes to its frontage, an additional storey added and rearward extension.

Proposed changes

Plans were due to be decided last November but were deferred for a site visit, with a decision now expected at a meeting on 16th January.

The application includes some interesting snippets of history with the pub formerly known as The Bricklayer’s Arms.

Comparison with 1920s frontage

Two units were combined in the inter-war period with the building’s frontage altered.

If approved 10 guest rooms would be located on site.
