Greenwich development with 30-floor tower now rising
Work on a development bringing 476 homes to Greenwich peninsula is now well underway.
L&Q are behind the project near St Mary Magdalene school at the junction of West Parkside and John Harrison Way.
Two towers are interspersed with mid-rise blocks at the site close to Greenwich Millennium Village and Knight Dragon blocks.
There will be a total of seven buildings.
The plot was originally set to be developed by developer Knight Dragon whose masterplan sees more than 17,000 homes on the peninsula before L&Q took control.
Designs were then revised. The tallest block now under construction will top out at 30-floors with another at 22-storeys.
Tenure mix is roughly one third private sale, one third shared-ownership and one third London Affordable Rent. The first residents are set to move in in 2026.
L&Q are also building nearly 300 homes at a college site in Plumstead situated between Plumstead railway station and Woolwich Elizabeth line station.
