Greenwich Lunar New Year festival events are on this weekend

A number of events are set to be held at the Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory in Greenwich this weekend to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Lion dances and performances will be on show in the Museum alongside a Chinese astronomy show at the Observatory.

A Lion Dance performance will be on show in the Museum. Various other events, workshops and talks will be on offer covering, for example, Korean calligraphy.

Free tickets to events can be booked here.

Unlike last year there are no events after 5pm nor a light parade which was funded by the Mayor of London’s High Streets for All project.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
