Bexleyheath micropub approved within new development

A licensing application for a proposed micropub in Bexleyheath town centre has been approved.

The decision paves the way for a Kent brewer to open Good Space Tap within the Eastside Quarter development.

Being a micropub it’s someway from, say, Wetherspoons with a generally older clientele with a focus on real ale and craft beer.

Conditions imposed include no outside drinking after 8pm with no inside drinking after 10.30pm.

The owner also plans to open each morning to serve coffee and breakfast snacks.

Cineworld and Lidl sit opposite development with Sports Direct occupying one unit

Eastside Quarter is a development of more than 600 homes on Bexley Council’s former civic centre extending the town’s shops and commercial space eastward. A Sports Direct occupies one unit, and in recent years Lidl opened over the road.

Cineworld also exists nearby as do other restaurants.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here
