Greenwich pub frontage changes submitted as reserved matters go in

Detailed plans for external materials have been submitted at the site of an east Greenwich pub.

Irish pub Hardy’s Freehouse on Trafalgar Road saw plans approved at the end of 2023 for a rooftop extension and substantial changes to the building’s frontage.

Proposed change at time of approval

One of the more prominent changes is the addition of glazed red bricks at ground floor level.

An additional floor above the existing structure will see zinc cladding.

Materials to be used within planning submission

The original submission also suggested a name change from Hardy’s Free House to the Bricklayers Arms as the pub was once known.

Despite the suggested name it’s not expected to see a pub on site but rather a restaurant.

Upper floors will be converted into 10 hotel and short stay rooms.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here
