Serious accident closes Eltham High Street

Eltham High Street has been closed this evening after a serious incident involving a bus.

It’s also believed an electric scooter is involved.

Bus services were disrupted though it appears the road has reopened by 7:45pm.

Emergency services have been contacted for comment.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • They could increase the frequency on route SL3 to every 8 minutes Peak hours and Monday to Saturday daytimes and to every 12 minutes all evenings and Sundays.
The new electric buses to be introduced on to route SL3 will be shorter than the current new bus for london buses ,(new routemasters) and may help it navigate some of the tighter spots of the route on narrower roads.
I still think TFL need to invest in improving local bus services which are used more than the Superloop routes. Superloop routes are limited stop. So do not stop at bus stops or serve areas where many passengers need to go.
