Cutty Sark in Greenwich to see sea shanty performance this weekend

This coming Saturday sea shanties will be performed aboard the Cutty Sark in Greenwich from Hog Eye Men.

I can’t lie, this sounds brilliant.

Three sets will be performed on the Tween Deck between:

11:45am – 12:15pm
12:45pm – 1:15pm
1:30pm – 2pm
It’s part of a family fun weekend on board.
Firstly though, who doesn’t love a sea shanty? There’s those that do and those that havn’t yet realised they do.
On a personal level I really got into the swing of them way back when Assassin’s Creed 4 came out. For those who don’t know or play video games, it’s a pirate adventure where you sail and the more you play, the more sea shanties there are to listen to and collect. It’s fantastic. Sail your ship, battle galleons and sing away.
While I’m here, I’d also like to proclaim my love for a website called Seashanties4all.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
