Towers take shape beside Stratford International station

Two towers continue to rise at a former bus layover spot near Stratford International DLR and Southeastern stations.

Towers on site will reach 27-floors and total 380 homes.

Ground floor retail units on the way

Completion is expected next year.

Telford Homes are behind the project.

Render of completed development

There’s a lot to like about the project and if nothing else it’s not just another box with clip-on balconies “randomly” positioned.

In the above image, the road leads over tracks and around to the forthcoming V&A museum as well as BBC studios and Sadler’s Wells theatre.

Westfield is also located a few seconds away so in terms of amenities and transport it couldn’t be better.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Doesn’t make any difference to Stratford. Except changing how Stratford looks with all these new high rise buildings and apartments that costs so much money.

  • What people forget Andrew is that homes at social rent only often get built as a by-product of developments like this.

With Labour and Tory for 30 years showing little interest in directly funding council homes, this is often the only way they get built. Starmer seems no different.

Not ideal but making the best of a bad situation. We should also remember those who may move in would otherwise be in housing like HMOs and houses hares. Right now any building (within reason such as provides social homes and isn’t ugly as sin) is welcome.

    • Totally agree Joshua. But London is seeing more and more new housing development all over Greater London. With every borough in Greater London that wants more new homes and flats being built on land that was once occupied by Green belt or Brown belt.

So thats why more new homes and flats are being built. And with London’s population growing even more every year and every decade.
