Man hospitalised after Woolwich town centre assault

A man in his 40s has been hospitalised following an assault last night.

Police were called at 2:14am on Monday 16 September following the attack with a bottle.

London Ambulance Service paramedics attended with the man taken to hospital where he remains.

The incident was in General Gordon Square in Woolwich town centre. No arrests have yet been made.

Police are seeking any witnesses or people who may be able to help. They can contact police by calling 101 or via Twitter account @MetCC  quoting reference CAD544/16SEP.
