Eltham Christmas lights switch-on today

Eltham town centre will see a day of events in advance of Christmas lights being switched on later today (Saturday 16 November).

Events throughout the day will include in advance of a 5pm switch-on:

Cookie decorating and wreath making 12 noon to 6pm
Jolly Good Timers 12 noon to 1pm
Boppin’ Bunnies 1 to 2pm
Festive Hits with Sabrina Bell 2.15 to 2.45pm
Drumming with TARU Arts 3 and 4.45pm
Play It On Pan 3 to 4pm
The Rock Choir 4.15 to 5pm
Meet light up fairies, the Grinch and Elf on the Shelf 4.30 to 5.30pm
Lights switch on 5pm

It’s all centres around Passey Place where the tree will be located.

There’s also an event in Woolwich too. I was all set set to cover it the other day as the council’s weekly email states 13 November.

Click through though and it shows it as next week. I presume that’s the correct date though the council’s event searching tool also doesn’t show it.

Anyway, the tree is up in Woolwich as seen this week.
