Transport for London issue map to promote Superloop and London Overground
Transport for London have revealed a new transport map to promote the Superloop and London Overground.
The organisation have been on a bit of a PR blitz to promote the new London Overground line names in recent weeks and this seems the latest in line.
The idea is to promote outer London though oddly the only one listed in Greenwich borough on the TfL press release is in Greenwich (zone 2) which is neither on any Superloop route nor London Overground.
Nor does the released map alongside the press release feature Superloop routes. Dutifully many outlets have rehashed the press release.
A dedicated map with numerous attractions actually on the Superloop and/or London Overground prominently displaced on both TfL and VisitLondon websites could have done wonders given the reach of both sites.
Superloop actually passes Abbey Wood (zone 4) and there’s a wide range of activities on this festive season at the wonderful Lesnes Abbey site.
Of course that’s not to slight any of those listed (many great sites are featured) but if TfL want to promote outer London and attractions on their Superloop routes, maybe actually list some of those offering much in coming weeks? It all looks a bit half arsed.
And wouldn’t it be nice if many of London’s outlets didn’t just cut and paste but highlighted things that are great in the capital that get overlooked.
Talking about the Superloop Buses. Now why can’t they plan to Expand it all the way to Gatwick Airport in the future. To Help people get out of their Cars and unto Public Transport. To Help people get out of their Cars and unto Public Transport. Especially on the A110, A10, M25, M23, A20, A21, A23, M1, M2, M3, M4, M11, A1, A2, A3, A4, A12, A13 and A406 etc. And why not plan a Brand New Direct Bus Service from Enfield Town to Gatwick Airport in the future as well?
