Journey history and refunds finally back online say TfL

Online accounts to check recent journeys and charges are finally back online after a “cyber incident” in September.

Downtime has caused hardship to many with people unable to claim refunds online if overcharged – which is not an uncommon occurrence.

The facility applies not Oyster and contactless journeys not only on TfL modes of transport but also National Rail within London.

Yours truly has a few incidents where I’m not sure the correct fare was charged. The wide gate at Abbey Wood is one such location that seems to play up.

Another issue is where a touch-in point doesn’t always seem to be working such as at Stratford station – or it was not possible to touch out and so a full fare charged.

A quick glimpse of my account shows details are online. Guess what journey mode used between the 13 November trips?

It’s an issue that’s impacted many including some of London’s poorest yet this in particular saw relatively little coverage.

You can now check journeys and claim any refunds due by clicking here.
